Mitzie was born and raised by her grandparents in the rural parish of Trelawny, Jamaica and developed a love for cooking from an early age.

Taught by her grandmother, she learned the art of cooking, which inspired her passion for food.

At just nine years old, Mitzie was already preparing meals and quickly became known among family and friends for her exceptional cooking skills.

After moving to England in 2020, Mitzie began cooking for family gatherings and special events.

Her delicious Jamaican dishes soon gained a loyal following, turning her passion into a small but successful catering business.

What started with catering for 30 guests quickly grew into larger events of up to 100 guests, with demand increasing through word-of-mouth recommendations, receiving outstanding praise for both the flavour and presentation of her food.

Today, Mitzie is celebrated for her authentic Jamaican cuisine, particularly her signature curried goat, escovitch fish and braised oxtail.

Mitzie's journey is a story of passion, dedication, and the power of sharing culture through great food.

Mitzie joined her husband, Horace, at Sentido Restaurant last January and quickly became a highly valued member of our team.

Horace was born to Jamaican parents and raised in Birmingham, growing up in a household where Jamaican food was at the heart of family life.

His passion for cooking became clear from an early age.

He pursued his dream by enrolling in Food and Art studies, where he refined his culinary skills and developed his professional expertise.

Throughout his career, Horace has worked in several prestigious hotels and food establishments,

where he had the privilege of cooking for high-profile guests.

He and Carlos met over 10 years ago while working as chefs at a hotel in the Midlands. The two quickly formed a strong friendship, a bond that has continued to grow ever since.

Their partnership became even stronger when Horace joined Sentido Restaurant in 2025, where together they have built an exceptional kitchen team, combining their experience, passion, and dedication to delivering outstanding dining experiences.
